A misconfigured Firebase database in Quittr exposed the intimate records of 600,000 users — including masturbation habits, porn viewing history, emotional struggles, and data on 100,000 minors. The vulnerability was first reported in July 2025. The co-founder personally acknowledged it in September, promised a fix "within the hour," then went silent — the app was still vulnerable when the story broke publicly in early 2026.
